  • United Way’s 2-1-1 Connects Alabama provides information about health and human services available locally and throughout Alabama.  Search the online resource database at www.211connectsalabama.org, or dial 2-1-1 or 1-888-421-1266 to speak to an operator. Both numbers are free.
  • Homelessness in the US: Sleep Study and Accommodation Directory – Studies the issue of sleep deprivation on the homeless, and provides links to health and human service providers in Alabama and to other helpful resources.
  • National Alliance to End Homelessness – A nonpartisan, nonprofit organization committed to preventing and ending homelessness in the U.S.  The NAEH advocates for improved federal homelessness policy, provides analysis and research on homelessness and emerging solutions, and helps communities turn policy solutions and best practices into viable programs.
  • United States Interagency Council on Homelessness – Leads the national effort to prevent and end homelessness in America by coordinating the federal response to homelessness among its 19 federal member agencies, state and local governments, and the private sector.
